FULL TOUR: Standard Garden View Room at Disney’s Aulani Resort

Welcome to paradise!

We recently paid a visit to Disney’s Aulani Resort, located on the grounds of the Ko Olina resort complex in Kapolei, Hawaii. The resort, which opened in 2011, is a meticulously crafted monument to native Hawaiian culture, and arguably the most popular Disney Resort not tied to any of the company’s theme parks. During our stay, we were able to tour one of the property’s Garden View Rooms.

The room features two lavish beds separated by a night table, as well as a ceiling fan, and the traditional accoutrements one would expect including a table and chair set and a flat-screen TV.

These were legitimately some of the MOST COMFORTABLE Disney hotel beds we’ve ever slept in.

The room also features a fridge…

…a coffee selection…

…and full-size closet wardrobe.

The bathroom features a full sink…

…a shower/bathtub combo…

…complete with multiple heads.

The toilet is located in a small standalone room within the larger bathroom space.

The bathroom is, of course, loaded with the necessary toiletries.

The room leads out to the balcony…

…which provides a view of the hotel’s central garden and pool area.

The room is decorated with themed artwork that fits the hotel’s decorative style.

And of course, there’s the well-known surfing Mickey lamp that has become a favorite of guests. (Fun Fact: These are sometimes available for purchase in Aulani’s gift shop).

One of our few complaints: There are no bathrobes provided in the room. They are available for purchase in the gift shop, which definitely felt just a wee bit off-putting.
