It’s no secret that Disney World seems to get more expensive year after year.

Souvenirs, tickets, hotels, food, and experiences often see price increases each calendar year, and that can make it challenging to budget for your trip. So now, I’m here to take you through what you can expect with price increases in Disney World and how to plan for 2026.
When Price Increases Could Happen
Disney World doesn’t announce upcoming price increases, but over the years, we’ve seen patterns that make price hikes somewhat predictable. Typically, we’re on alert for prices to raise for a variety of offerings sometime in October.

In October 2025, we saw price increases for Disney World Annual Passes, as well as regular tickets. We also noticed cross-property increases on food and snacks, select popular souvenirs, and theme park parking. Most of those happened toward the beginning of the month.

In October 2024, we also had price increases on Annual Passes, food, and park tickets around the third week of the month. In the early years following the pandemic, the price increase timelines were a bit more unpredictable, but we’ve seen things happen more commonly in October since then.

Now, of course, price increases could technically happen any time of year, but with this pattern showing up, it’s a good idea to be prepared heading into October.

Tips for Dealing With Disney World Price Increases
First up, perhaps the most obvious tip is that it’s a good idea to start planning your Disney World trip BEFORE the price increases hit. If you can make your reservations and purchase your tickets in September and earlier, you have a better chance of avoiding your vacation getting more expensive.

If you’re visiting Disney World in October or later, you might be able to avoid the price increases for the parts of your trip you purchase ahead of time, but then encounter those increased rates when you get into the parks. Often, Disney will increase things like food, drinks, parking, tours, Lightning Lanes, and souvenirs by just a few cents or dollars each year. It may not be enough to make a noticeable difference, unless you’re traveling with a larger group.

It’s a good idea to double-check prices for experiences and dining online before you leave for your trip. When it comes to Lightning Lanes, you can see pricing a few weeks out before booking. And of course, make sure you’re following us here at AllEars on social and subscribing to our newsletter so you can get updates when prices start rising — we’ll make sure to let you know.

Things are a bit trickier when it comes to souvenirs — those are the price increases that sneak up on you, one item at a time. A new pair of ears could release that are $2 more, and then that price sticks with subsequent releases until the whole stock is more expensive.
One of our go-to tips for making sure we’re staying on budget when shopping is to use the Merchandise Mobile Check-Out feature in the My Disney Experience app. It’s available for some of the most popular gift shops in Disney World and allows you to scan barcodes and check prices before you purchase. (Sometimes Disney doesn’t include prices on tags.)

And of course, you can also try to plan your Disney World trip for cheaper times of the year to help negate those price increases. Periods of time throughout the year that typically have the lowest prices for hotels, tickets, and Lightning Lanes are late January, early February, early May, late August, and September. If possible, try not to travel around major holidays, holiday weekends, or common vacation seasons like Spring Break and summertime.

So, keep these tips in mind if you’re worried about price increases coming to Disney World in 2026. We’re all in this together, folks. Of course, make sure you’re following along here at AllEars for the latest news and tips.
