Disney World Ticket Increases Over the Past 10 Years and Price Predictions for 2026

Disney World just keeps getting more expensive, and it’s not going to stop.

Price increases happen nearly every year on things like tickets, hotel rooms, food, merchandise, and experiences. That means for many families, you’ll be budgeting extra for your annual vacation. But the big price increase question on the mind of most fans revolves around tickets — will Disney World tickets get more expensive in 2026? And if so, by how much?

Park Ticket Price Increases

After 2025 ticket prices were released back in 2024, we pulled the data on ticket prices in Disney World from the past ten years, and the results were a little shocking. In 2014, base tickets to the parks ranged from $90 to $99. By 2025, that range was $109-$189. That’s a 32.22% increase on the base price — and a 90.91% increase for the highest-priced tickets.

Adult Park Ticket Price Changes

But those are just the tickets for adults! For the children, the change was even more drastic. In 2014, tickets for children ages 3-9 ranged between $84 and $93. In 2025, the range was $114-$184. That’s a 35.71% base price increase and a 97.85% increase on the highest price.

Those are some pretty big changes, and if you look at the charts, you’ll notice the big jump has mostly happened in the past five years.

Predictions for 2026

If we look at this from a financial standpoint, it makes sense that Disney chose to increase the peak ticket price for adults significantly in 2022. This was a time when the company was still financially recovering from the pandemic, and they leaned heavily on price increases and cost-cutting measures to do so.

Hollywood Studios

If you look at the current 2026 prices, there has been a small increase on the peak end. While the cheapest ticket offered is still $119 for an adult on select days at Animal Kingdom, a single-day base ticket to Magic Kingdom on the most expensive days of the year (which fall during Christmas break) is $209. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has also busted the $200 barrier in 2026, with its peak tickets sitting at $204 per person.

EPCOT

This is the first time we’ve seen that top-of-the-range price increase since 2022. Since that choice was made for 2026 prices, we may not see them do it again for 2027. However, Disney may choose to raise the prices on the lower end of the cost range instead.

Based on the last few years, ticket prices for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios have seen the steepest increases. While ticket price ranges for Animal Kingdom and EPCOT seem to jump $10 or $15 at a time, the price increases for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are closer to $25 or $30 a person, depending on the date of your visit.

Galaxy’s Edge

It all comes down to supply and demand. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are the most popular and in-demand parks these days, with bigger thrills, interesting IP lands, and several new additions. Those two parks could continue to see ticket price increases simply due to the number of people willing to pay a premium to visit them.

However, there’s one other thing to consider — the NEW additions coming to the parks. Animal Kingdom has a chance of getting a considerable price increase for 2027 simply because that’s the projected opening timeline for Tropical Americas, which is going to be a huge draw for the park.

Hollywood Studios is another good candidate for a price increase because it’s getting a revamped Animation Courtyard this year, as well as the retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to The Muppets.

Also in 2026, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will reopen at Magic Kingdom with some new enhancements. The park doesn’t have any major updates scheduled for a 2027 opening date yet, so it’s a bit of a toss-up as to whether or not those two ride changes could warrant a price increase.

The most common time to see ticket price increases (and price increases in general) is in October. It’s not guaranteed, but it’s a pattern we’ve noticed in the past. So, if you’re contemplating a trip, it’s better to book and purchase those tickets sooner rather than later, lest the prices go up.
