PHOTOS: The NEW ‘Encanto’ Attraction Coming to Disney World Is Going To Be HUGE

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a sea of walls right now, and while we know it’s all for the best, it’s getting pretty hard to walk around certain areas!

This model from Disney Imagineering shows the casita of La Familia Madrigal in the new Tropical Americas land coming to Animal Kingdom.

That’s especially true over in the former DinoLand U.S.A. section of the park, which is currently being transformed into the new Tropical Americas land. There will be three new attractions in this land, and one of the largest ones is being built from the ground up. That takes A LOT of work to build a large ride building from nothing, but from what we’re seeing, it’s coming along really well, and it’s ALREADY massive!

Guests are able to walk through the area that was formerly DinoLand, so they can get to attractions like Finding Nemo: The Big, Blue…and Beyond and over to Asia more easily, and lots of the construction on the new Casita ride, inspired by Encanto, coming to Tropical Americas, can be easily seen from over the walls.

Look at all of that!

Based on concept art and what we know about the land’s layout so far, this entire building is to be part of Casita. It’s even easier to see from a bird’s eye view, which we have thanks to @bioreconstruct.

Now, keep in mind that this is all the bare bones of this attraction so far, so it’s not supposed to look like the finished Casita at all just yet. Like many rides in Disney World, it’s possible that this building could be more of the ride building, not the front-facing Casita look that we’ll see from the ground when it’s all finished.

It’s huge!

If you take a look at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, you’ll see something similar — the ride building itself extends WAY beyond what we see entering the ride, but you can see the building easier if you’re riding the Monorail or walking into the park from the left side of the parking lot.

The Cosmic Rewind ride building is HUGE

From what we’re seeing, it looks like this building will continue to grow in height, as there’s still a crane nearby, which makes adding height much easier.

The crane could indicate more height!
