Why Disney Experts Wait Until 6 PM To Ride This EPCOT Attraction

If you’re like us, you spend day after day looking at Disney World wait times, checking for trends so you can make a good plan or itinerary for your days in each park. Is it obsessive? Sure…but getting an idea of these kinds of trends could mean the difference between having to pay to ride an attraction or not, and still getting a shorter standby line.

Well, we’ve noticed an interesting trend recently for one of the most popular rides in Disney World, and it has everything to do with when the best time to ride it is. So let’s talk about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT.​

If you’ve tried to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you’ll know that this ride generally has pretty long standby lines with wait times of an hour or more throughout most of the day. You can bypass those lines by paying for a Lightning Lane Single Pass, but there’s another strategy you can use, too.

So we’re taking a look at the wait times for the ride from February 25th, 2026. Ride wait times are generally around an hour or more throughout the day, but at 6 PM, the wait jumped down to 35 minutes. Maybe this has something to do with being around when most people sit down to grab dinner, or something else, but if you wait until 6 PM, you may just get a shorter standby line on the ride.

Now, this may not happen at 6 PM every day, but in general, we do see that wait time dips down for at least an hour every day, so you should keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app and head on over to the ride the minute you see a lower wait time.
