On November 28th, there was a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which means that Magic Kingdom closes early at 4 PM, meaning your day with the castle will be cut short unless you have that additional party ticket. Since most people don’t want their day cut short, most people will opt for other parks and save Magic Kingdom for another day when they’ll be able to run from open to close and enjoy the nighttime entertainment like fireworks. If you have a Park Hopper add-on to your ticket, Magic Kingdom in the morning can be nice and empty before the party starts. Then you can run to the next park when it closes.
