Um, Disney…What Is Going On With the Kali River Rapids Ride Right Now?

There are some Disney World attractions that temporarily close pretty often. Lookin’ at you, Ride of the Resistance!

Sometimes, this is due to their more complicated technology, like Rise of the Resistance, or because the attractions are decades old (and might need some TLC), like Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel. However, there is one category of rides that should NOT be closing: newly refurbished attractions. In fact, we don’t expect to see a ride that JUST finished a months-long refurbishment report so many issues, but alas, here we are.

Below is a full look at the Disney World wait times on March 15th, 2025. Keep reading to find out what’s happening with a newly refurbished attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run had a 90-minute wait twice throughout the day, but otherwise stayed relatively low! However, Carousel of Progress had some issues again for the second day in a row and was joined in its temporary closure by the PeopleMover and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Epcot

Cosmic Rewind essentially started the day with a wild 180-minute wait, but thankfully, it dropped way down throughout the majority of the rest of the day. Gran Fiesta Tour is also finally back from its long refurbishment and did close unexpectedly one time throughout the day, but otherwise all ran well in EPCOT!

Flight of Passage had the highest wait of 115 minutes, but what really caught our eye was that Kali River Rapids was closed for basically half the day…and it JUST came out of refurbishment. What’s going on, Kali?

Rise of the Resistance surprisingly had the highest wait of 110 minutes, but it also went down twice throughout the day, so it’s possible that longer wait times were also due to some ride difficulties. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster also went down once, but all things considered, that’s not too bad!
