Yesterday was a VERY interesting day for rides all around Disney World, but maybe not for the reason you’re expecting.
DINOSAUR’s final day of operation is coming up in just a few days, and it’s clear from wait times that the crowds are VERY well aware. However, we also saw a normally well-behaved Magic Kingdom attraction go down basically ALL DAY, and two Hollywood Studios rides decided to compete to see who could have the longest wait while they BOTH had issues. So, yeah, if you were in Disney World yesterday, we hope you were in EPCOT.
Let’s take a look at wait times from Friday, January 30th, 2026.
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 110 minute wait two hours before the park closed, but what really shocked us was how many ride closures there were! The day started out rough with Haunted Mansion, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and Pirates of the Caribbean all closed, and the latter two remained closed for ANOTHER two hours. Mickey’s PhilharMagic opened the fourth hour of the day…then closed AGAIN for the rest of the day, which was EIGHT hours!

The attraction hit a 120 minute wait towards the end of the day, which is nearly UNHEARD of. The ride started off the day closed for two hours, which wasn’t great, and then didn’t drop 40 minutes below for the entire rest of the day.
