These Disney World Wait Times Are Honestly Scaring Me

We’re no strangers to a busy Disney World. We’ve seen wait times jump crazy high and a packed Main Street, U.S.A., which makes us question how we can even get to the castle. Most of the time, these wait times are around the holiday season, and since it’s the beginning of January, crowds are HIGH.

While New Year’s might be over, the vacations are not. Are you ready to see some wildly high wait times in Disney World?

Let’s take a look at the wait times for Friday, January 3rd, 2026, at Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is usually the busiest of the parks since it has the castle and is the epitome of what Disney World is. TRON Lightcycle / Run got up to a 135-minute wait! Even rides like the Haunted Mansion, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid stayed around an hour for the majority of the day. I don’t know about you, but I’m not waiting 35 minutes for the Mad Tea Party.

Flight of Passage got up to 190 minutes. Let that sink in for a minute. That’s over 3 hours for a single attraction in Animal Kingdom. Yikes! The other rides were usually around an hour as well, except for Kali River Rapids, which is Animal Kingdom’s water ride. It might have been a little too cold for the long lines!

I look at wait times every week for Disney World, but this one might be a new record for me, and I’m scared. The Tower of Terror got up to a 200-minute wait. That’s 3 hours and 20 minutes to enter the Twilight Zone. Lots of other rides were around 100 minutes as well, including Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Slinky Dog Dash.
