There’s a major problem at one Disney World park right now.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is going through some major changes these days, with DinoLand, U.S.A. in the process of being replaced by the Tropical Americas, as well as the It’s Tough to Be a Bug show recently closing to be replaced with a Zootopia show. That means that right now, there aren’t very many attractions available!
When we took a look at the Animal Kingdom wait times from Monday, April 28th, we found that they were fairly high for Animal Kingdom, especially compared to a few months ago. With two wait time attractions having closed (It’s Tough to Be a Bug and TriceraTop Spin), the other attractions are taking the brunt of the crowds.
You used to be able to hop on rides like DINOSAUR and Expedition Everest with relative ease, but with the recent changes, most of the wait times are hovering in the 45+ minute zone. However, there is some slight good news.
With so few attractions available, people have begun treating Animal Kingdom even MORE like a half-day park. This means that the wait times are typically dropping in the afternoon, usually after about 2PM or 3PM. So if you want to go and hit rides in quick succession, head to Animal Kingdom later in the day!
