If you’ve always wanted to be part of Disney history, we found the most incredible opportunity for you to check out.

Disney is hosting an event for ultimate Disney fans to help the community while taking home one-of-a-kind pieces and taking tours inside rare Disney buildings.
The Walt Disney Company is participating in the Sotheby’s AnimAID | The Art of Animation online auction to support the recovery from the wildfires in January 2025.

The auction will be online and will take place from April 23rd to 30th and beyond. Disney will also have pieces from Warner Bros., DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, and Paramount.

Pieces from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Disney Television Animation, 20th Century Television, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Animation will all be available during the auction.

There are lots of drawings from different movies like Who Framed Roger Rabbit?…

…and Fantasia!

We love seeing the animation models, or research maquettes, up for auction as well. These models of Moana and Maui from the first Moana movie are perfect for the collector.

Frozen 2 models are also available and are signed by the animators!

The Nightmare Before Christmas fans will want to check out these 6 production-used “Boogie Bugs” from the movie.

Beyond take-home pieces, there are also once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, such as a VIP tour of Lucasfilm in San Francisco and an exclusive tour of Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit local animators and their families who have been affected by the fires.

During the fires, Disney committed $15 million to LA fire relief and rebuilding efforts, and also gave complimentary tickets to Disneyland to first responders on the front lines of the fire.

Bids are already on lots of items, so if you’re interested in taking home a piece of Disney history, check it out and start keeping an eye on your favorite pieces. Make sure you’re staying up to date with everything Disney by following AllEars!
