EPCOT has an insane number of food options, and it’s hard to know where to go once you start on the World Showcase.

We headed to the Funnel Cake Stand in the American Adventure Pavilion, which we love to get a sweet treat from on our EPCOT days. We’re bringing you a full review so you can decide if you need to add this stop on your next EPCOT trip.
Background
Located in the American Adventure Pavilion, the Funnel Cake Stand is a kiosk that serves mainly funnel cakes and bottled water. It continues the theming of classic America, and they usually have traditional funnel cake on the menu along with some seasonal ones.

Atmosphere
The stand is right by the American Garden Theatre, so you can grab a treat and listen to the concerts going on for the different EPCOT festivals. While there are a few tables and chairs in the area, there isn’t any designated seating for the stand, so it might take a bit to find a spot.

There isn’t any mobile ordering, so you’ll have to wait in line and order at the counter. While there are many snack stops in EPCOT, the Funnel Cake Stand usually has an exclusive funnel cake during festivals and can form a pretty long line of people wanting to try it out.

Also, because it’s so close to the American Garden Theatre, lots of folks will grab a treat before or after a concert starts, which also leads to it being pretty busy.

Enough about the details, let them eat cake!
Food & Drinks
We started with the Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake for $15.

This funnel cake is covered in sugar, crushed cookies, and topped with vanilla cream and chocolate sauce, and when combined all together, you get an incredible tasting funnel cake! It was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the cookies on top added an extra chewy texture, giving it a little bite. While it has chocolate sauce on it, it’s not overwhelmingly chocolate-flavored, especially once we dug into that vanilla ice cream!

Our ice cream was served in a rectangle, and we don’t know what magical powers they placed on it, but it didn’t instantly melt in the Florida heat — and we loved it. It was creamy and cold, and paired beautifully with the funnel cake, reminding us why there should be an entire food stand dedicated to this one snack.

Next, we grabbed the Funnel Cake with sugar for $10.

This is going to be your traditional-style funnel cake, with no additional toppings besides powdered sugar, of course. It tasted exactly like fried dough and reminded us of snacks at a county fair. Because they cook the treats right in front of you at the stand, you can sometimes get a mix of quality, which we discovered here. Sometimes, there can be a mix of cooking differences, and our traditional funnel cake was on the more crunchy side and was falling apart as we ate it.

The flavors carried the dish forward, and sometimes it’s hard to beat delicious fried dough.
