While we’ve told you about all the health and safety protocols, reduced amenities and activities, and more happening at the hotels, Disney World officials have a few updates for guests.

The Vice President of Worldwide Safety Services Katie Kelly has detailed Disney World’s hotel plans when they reopen to guests who will be stayings on property.

She details the use of Online Check-in, along with redesigned bell services that will leave luggage at rooms. The Disney resorts will maintain enhanced cleaning efforts, especially in places like elevators and escalators, handrails, benches, tables, handles, and restrooms. There are also more hand-sanitizer stations located around the hotels.

There will be physical distancing, reduced capacity, increased sanitation, and other preventative measures in restaurants, pools, fitness centers, lobbies, and other public areas at the resorts.

In order to assist these measures, there will be a lean towards Disney’s technology tools. Some of these include limited-contact services at restaurants and stores, cashless payments, Mobile Order, and MagicBands.

The resort rooms will also be going through extensive cleaning measures before guests’ arrival. During their stay, guests will receive a light cleaning service every other day with trash removal and the replenishment of towels and other amenities.

Housekeeping Cast Members will be undergoing training to make sure that they are up-to-date on the best ways to safely assist guests. Guests will be asked to wash their hands frequently, social distance, and reschedule their trips if someone in their party feels sick, becomes subject to quarantine, or has travel restrictions.
