As part of Disney World’s presentation that included their proposed reopening dates of July 11th and July 15th, they included many details on certain aspects of the parks initial reopening phases, including an advance reservation system to access the parks.

Due to the anticipated high demand, Disney World has announced that they will be pausing the sale of new tickets as well as Disney World Resort hotel reservations. In Orlando, “Disney Vacation Club resorts at Walt Disney World will reopen to members and guests and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will begin to reopen on June 22,” according to a statement made by Disney.
Shared on Disney Parks Blog, the statement says, “At this time, we are temporarily pausing new ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel reservations so we can focus on guests with existing tickets and reservations (Disney Vacation Club members can still make new reservations).”

When the reservation system goes into effect, Disney noted, “Existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders will be able to make reservation requests in phases before new tickets are sold.” Once Annual Passholders and those with existing reservations have made their reservation requests, Disney “will resume new ticket sales and hotel reservations after that period of time.”

More details will be announced soon on this new advance reservation system. In the meantime, you can check out additional details that were presented at today’s Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force meeting here.
