Skip Rope Drop and Do THIS in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Instead

Let’s say you’re on your Disney World vacation, and you’re making your plans for visiting each of the four parks. Now, you may not realize it, but each park may require a different strategy.

Let’s look at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Now, you might rope drop Disney World’s other parks, but there’s really no need to do it in Animal Kingdom, especially as the park generally opens earlier than the other parks. Instead…you’ll want to get there later and stay until the park closes. Now, we’re going to tell you why.​

It seems like a lot of people tend to get to Animal Kingdom early and then leave early. That means you’ll probably hit some pretty hefty ride wait times at rope drop and throughout the morning. However, if you wait, you’ll notice that ride wait times start to go down the closer you get to the park’s closing time. For example, yesterday, most rides had just a 5-minute wait just before Animal Kingdom closed.  

So instead of rope dropping Animal Kingdom, sleep in, get there later, and knock out your must-do rides later in the day.

Now, granted, things may change a LOT on May 26th when Bluey’s Wild World opens in Animal Kingdom. That could shake up wait times in the park a LOT, so we’ll have to keep an eye on that.
