3 Things Celebrities Always Do in Universal Orlando

From the very beginning, Universal’s theme parks have had a major celebrity presence! After all, Universal Studios Hollywood began life as a tour of a real working movie studio backlot, and remains one to this day.

Celebrity sights have extended to Universal Orlando as well, with some famous faces visiting the parks for work, some for play, and some even to see themselves!

Harry Potter Stars Stopping By the Wizarding World

Since the first Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Islands of Adventure in 2010, the heavily themed lands have often drawn appearances from the stars of the film series for press events, ride openings, conventions, and more. For example, in 2025, cast members James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) and Warwick Davis (Professor Filius Flitwick and Griphook) were on hand to celebrate the opening of Epic Universe, which is home to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic.

During the same visit, James Phelps made sure to note that they also stopped by Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida to “check on the business,” AKA see Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, the shop owned in-universe by their characters.

Looking in a Horror Nights Mirror!

As Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights has grown over the last 30+ years, many actors and celebs have paid a visit to the seasonal event in order to see the houses, mazes, and environments based on franchises they appeared in! For example, last year professional wrestlers the Wyatt Sicks — including Nikki Cross and Erik Rowan — stopped by both the Hollywood and Orlando events to see the houses based on their spooky characters.

The visits were especially emotional for the WWE Superstars, as both their characters and the house were based on the work of fellow professional wrestler Wyndham Rotunda AKA Bray Wyatt, who passed away in 2023.

Taking the Same Touristy Photos as Everyone Else!

Of course, not every celeb who’s been pictured at Universal has been there for a special event or opening. Some are simply there to go on vacation like anyone else! Take, for example, Jon Bon Jovi, the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame-enshrined lead singer of the band that bears his name. Last year, Bon Jovi posted a photo of himself posing in front of the iconic Universal Orlando globe — as millions of tourists have before him — celebrating a family vacation at the resort.
