It’s certainly no fun to get to your favorite theme park and discover that a ride you REALLY wanted to get on is closed. However, this happens throughout Disney World on a daily basis, whether that closure is due to weather, technical issues, or something else.
Now, most rides reopen fairly quickly, but if you visited EPCOT yesterday, one ride in particular, Spaceship Earth, was closed for a great deal of the day, meaning you had a short window to ride it.
If you visited EPCOT yesterday, you might have noticed that Spaceship Earth was closed when the park opened and stayed closed until 3 PM. That’s quite a bit of downtime. The ride DID reopen after that, but then it closed again at 6 PM for a short time. We’re sure this might have been frustrating for those who wanted to ride it, but sometimes, these things do happen.
Our best advice is to have a backup plan and ride everything else, while keeping an eye on the My Disney Experience app to see when a ride reopens. If you catch it just as it reopens, you may end up with a short line to ride it, too.
