This Magic Kingdom Ride Is STRUGGLING

In Magic Kingdom, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was once Splash Mountain, a ride that was notoriously closed often due to technical or other difficulties. When the ride reopened as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in 2024, we may have hoped those difficulties were behind it.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure still struggles, as it did yesterday, when the ride was closed when Magic Kingdom opened at 9 AM and was closed until 11 AM. The ride closed again at 8 PM until the park closed.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure doesn’t always just close due to technical issues. Because part of the ride is outdoors, bad weather can also shut it down. So if it’s a priority for your day in Magic Kingdom, you’ll probably want to get in line for the ride as early as you can…just in case.

If a ride does close, you’ll see it in the My Disney Experience app, which you’ll also want to continue to check to see when the ride reopens. If you catch the reopening early enough, you could end up with just a short wait.
