Big changes are coming to Disney World in the future!
Several new lands are being built in the parks, either replacing old attractions and offerings, or expanding the parks as we know them. In Hollywood Studios, Muppets Courtyard will transform into a Monsters, Inc. land, but The Muppets won’t be going away entirely. Instead, they’ll be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!
Ever since it was announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is getting a Muppets retheme, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the ride to see if we get any updates about when it might close. So far, we haven’t heard anything from Disney, however, there may be another update to share.
It looks like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster may be enjoying a surge of popularity in the wake of the closure news. When we take a look at the wait times from Monday, December 16th in Disney World, the ride had the highest wait time of the day — hitting a peak of 145 minutes! That’s nearly 2.5 hours of waiting in line for the coaster.
The wait times throughout the day for the ride are fairly high, but not typically that bad. We’ll have to keep an eye on it in the future and see if this trend continues. For now, check out the other wait times from Monday!
