One of the busiest weeks of the year has officially wrapped up for Disney World, and we’re breathing a short sigh of relief.
When planning your vacation, you’ve probably found that some weeks of the year are busier than others. The Spring Break season lasts most of March and April, the Christmas season lasts from mid-December to the beginning of January, and don’t even get us started on the endless weeks of crowds during summer break! But what happens to the crowds after one of these crowded seasons ends?
Last week was Thanksgiving break, and many people had multiple days off of work or school in the United States. Because of this, the parks were PACKED. We were seeing high wait times and heavy crowds during shows, as well as harder-to-snag dining reservations and Mobile Orders.
Monday, December 2nd was the first day after the holiday break ended — but did it provide any crowd relief? We’ve rounded up the wait times from that day in the parks to see. Looking at the numbers, it seems that the crowds didn’t entirely die out on Monday, although things slowed down just a bit from the chaos of the holiday week.
Even though we’ve got a few weeks before Christmas break starts, don’t expect the parks to be empty in the coming days! The holiday season is a short two months in Disney World, and many people plan trips during that time to enjoy the festivities. On top of that, many college students will be out of school in the next few days, so some families take their trips early in December to avoid the mania of later in the month.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on crowds in the coming weeks, but for now, take a look at yesterday’s wait times to get an idea of what things are like!
