We’re big fans of ice cream, ESPECIALLY when we get to enjoy it at Disney World (although we do admit that the way it melts so fast in the summer isn’t ideal…).

Oh, what’s that? You want to know our favorite places to get a sweet ice cream treat? Well, we have a lot of favorite spots to grab ice cream, like the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Magic Kingdom and Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club Resort, but we’ve got some interesting news to share. As it turns out, one of these spots is NOT serving one of our favorite treats to-go, so you may need to change your plans this summer.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a popular restaurant over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, mostly known for its AMAZING ice cream creations. While you need a reservation to dine inside, you can also order from the to-go window whenever you want (from 11 AM to 11 PM).

At the window, you can order a variety of sweet treats from the menu, including milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream scoops, ice cream cones, and more. In the past, you could also order a famous Beaches & Cream sundae here, too — just like the kind served in the restaurant next door!

However, you’ll notice that there’s something missing from this menu — yep, ice cream sundaes are gone! We asked a Cast Member, who told us that in the evenings, the line for the To-Go window was getting extremely long, so to help streamline the process, sundaes are now a restaurant-exclusive item.

However, we’ve got some good news — if you’re still craving a sundae and you’re on the BoardWalk, you can head over to BoardWalk Ice Cream! They have lots of sundaes on the menu, so you can still get what you’re craving without having to walk too far. In fact, they serve a peanut butter sundae that reminds us of the iconic No Way Jose from Beaches and Cream. The BoardWalk version is called the Thundering Surf Peanut Butter and Chocolate Sundae. (And it’s DELICIOUS!)
