If You Ride One Thing in Each Walt Disney World Park, Ride This

My least favorite Disney villain once said:

(She is so scary guys.)

But recently, the AllEars team engaged in a (mostly) friendly debate: if you could only ride ONE thing in each Walt Disney World Park, which would you choose? You know, the best of the best, creme de la creme attraction that you tell a first-timer they MUST ride?

Here are our answers.

Magic Kingdom

Main Street, USA

Winner: Haunted Mansion

An opening day attraction that has one of the biggest cult followings of anything in Disney, it’s no surprise Haunted Mansion topped our list. This one may be a classic, but it still sparks guests to wonder “how did they do that!?”

Haunted Mansion is a quintessential Disney attraction — and there is so much to see that you can ride again and again and notice new details!

Runner-up: Space Mountain

TBH, any of the Magic Kingdom mountains are worthy of being the silver medal choice (or the winner, for that matter), but Space was mentioned above all else. Why? Because it’s original to Magic Kingdom! Splash and Big Thunder both originated at Disneyland, but Space Mountain first lived in Walt Disney World.

Space Mountain

Space Mountain is an exciting ride through the stars, and a classic thrill ride if we ever did see one.

Epcot

Epcot

Winner: Spaceship Earth

It may not be the most thrilling attraction, but what can we say? We love classic Epcot! Spaceship Earth is quintessential Epcot at its finest, and we just adore this trip through time. And while we’re excited to see the Epcot Transformation take shape, we’re making sure we ride this one as many times as possible before it changes.

Runner-up: Soarin’

Coming in silver is Soarin’ Around the World, which is one of the best attractions for the whole family (or at least the whole family over 40 inches.) It’s relaxing and breathtaking, thrilling and immersive all in one. How can you not love the breeze on your face and the smell of flowers as you soar over the Taj Mahal? Soarin’ definitely makes our must do list.

Pro tip: for the best seat in the house, ask for section B, row 1.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios

Winner: Rise of the Resistance

If you get the chance, you HAVE to ride Rise of the Resistance. It’s Disney’s newest attraction, and it truly raises the bar when it comes to immersive storytelling. Even if you’re not a Star Wars person, you’ll be dazzled by the technology and Imagineering behind it.

Rise of the Resistance

Runner-up: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

As a beacon of the park, Tower of Terror lures you down Sunset Boulevard and invites you to step into another dimension. This thrill ride is one of the best when it comes to theme, suspense, and re-rideability. The drop sequence is randomized so you never know what will happen, which only adds to the excitement.

Tower of Terror

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Winner: Flight of Passage

Flight of Passage is another of Disney’s tremendous feats in technology. It’s incredible to soar on the back of a banshee, where you can feel it breathing beneath you. It’s a difficult FastPass to get, so if you don’t snag one, we recommend going first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

Flight of Passage

Runner-up: Kilimanjaro Safaris

I mean, it is ANIMAL Kingdom after all. The park’s flagship attraction is still one of its best and must dos! Climb aboard trucks to see elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, and more! Plus, because the subject is live animals, it’ll be a different adventure every time.
