Disney World rides sometimes need a little maintenance!
Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures! So today, we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions that will be unavailable from April 26th-May 2nd, 2021.
EPCOT Refurbishments
Pin Traders — Camera Center
An EPCOT store is undergoing a quick refurb! Pin Traders — Camera Center was originally scheduled to close on April 19th, but it shuttered on the 20th instead.
It’s due to reopen on May 7th! We’ll let you know if Disney announces exactly what kind of work is taking place.

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
Over 2 years later, the Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed! Its loop around Magic Kingdom is currently blocked by construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run.
We’ll have to wait for the TRON construction to make significant progress before the railroad can reopen — and that could be a while since work on TRON is reportedly delayed. We’ll keep you posted if we receive any updates!

The Hall of Presidents
The Hall of Presidents has been closed since January to install an audio-animatronic for President Joe Biden! This tradition takes place every time a new president is elected.
Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date, but we’ll be sure to let you know once they do!

Main Street Confectionery
On Main Street, U.S.A., Main Street Confectionery has closed for a lengthy refurb. It shuttered last month — but you can buy all of the Confectionery’s sweet treats at Main Street Cinema in the meantime!
Again, Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date — but we can expect it to be closed through July 4th at the earliest. That’s the furthest out Disney’s refurbishment schedule is currently listed!

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
While there’s plenty going on in the parks, the resorts are bustling with construction, too! At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the entryway, lobby, and monorail station are all being refurbished. The guest rooms are also getting a Moana makeover — you’ll be able to stay in them starting this July! The rest of the construction will finish around then, too.
Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the Main Tower Rooms are getting refurbished! You’ll see quite a bit of scrim covering the areas under construction — and the hotel is pretty noisy now, too.
And lastly, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool’s waterslide and splash pad at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is undergoing some maintenance!
The construction is expected to last through May 2021, but Meadow Swimmin’ Pool will remain open!
