This Popular Perk Is Missing From the Harry Potter Coaster at Universal…and I Need It to Stay That Way

Waiting in long lines can be a bummer; time is money, especially at theme parks! Universal offers a pay-to-skip-the-line service called Express Pass. There are multiple versions of this service, but essentially, they all have the same goal: to get you through the line faster than the standby wait. The problem is that not every single attraction is included in this paid-for perk, but is that really a bad thing?

Now we know all the hype is about Epic Universe right now, and for good reason! And as you can tell from the list above, it was confirmed that Epic Universe will utilize this service, but you will need to be quick to secure this perk, as Express Pass sold out very quickly on the first day of Annual Passholder previews. Now, imagine how quickly it will sell once the park officially opens on May 22nd, 2025.

But how about a little commotion for Universal Orlando’s second park, Islands of Adventure? This park is home to some very popular and recent additions, such as Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure has been open for almost six years now (time really does fly by!), and it is still not offered with Express Pass, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

First things first, obviously, Express Pass costs money, and by not having one of the most popular attractions part of the service, it allows people not to feel like they need to splurge on Express Pass in order to ride Hagrid’s.

Secondly, while Hagrid’s can draw super long waits, typically, the line constantly moves, so while you may have to wait a bit, it doesn’t feel too bad since you are not stagnant.
