It’s certainly no secret that we’re all about helping you plan your Disney World trips here at AllEars. It is kind of our whole thing, after all.
So when we tell you there’s a huge, theme park-sized reason you might want to skip a trip to Disney World during a particular time or season, well, it might not be a bad idea to listen up.
If you consider yourself a theme park fan, then chances are you’ve heard of a small, super low-key theme park coming to Universal Orlando called Epic Universe. Just kidding! Epic Universe is going to be, well, epic! We know we can’t wait for it to open and we’re not the only ones. And, with it opening on May 22nd, 2025, we think that’s a pretty good reason to skip a May 2025 Disney World trip!
The new park will feature five worlds waiting to be discovered — Celestial Park, Dark Universe, Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, and How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk. Each world will be incredibly immersive with new rides, restaurants, shopping, and more.
Celestial Park will act as the hub of it all and will be the gateway to the other four lands. Not only that, but it will be filled with lush gardens, winding waterways, and scenic pathways.
Dark Universe is inspired by Universal’s classic monsters and will feature a shadowy landscape where myth, mystery, and legendary creatures roam.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic is set in 1920s Paris from the Fantastic Beasts films and features the iconic British Ministry of Magic from Harry Potter. This new Wizarding World land adds an enchanting, international flair to the existing experience of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade Village in Universal’s other adjoining parks.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk is a vibrant Viking-themed realm where you can fly with dragons in an adventure inspired by the How to Train Your Dragon films.
Super Nintendo World will allow you to step into a gamified land through an iconic green pipe and immerse yourself in the world of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and more.
Of course, there’s certainly nothing wrong with still going to Disney World in May 2025 — you know we’ll be there! But, we’ll also be exploring all that Epic Universe has to offer so we can bring you everything you need to know about this brand-new theme park!
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest theme park news from Universal, Disney, and more!
