BIG Update On The New Roller Coaster Coming to Universal Orlando!

While we talk often about how much construction is happening over in Disney World right now, we can’t forget about everything going on over at Universal Orlando!

The parks recently announced that The Lost Continent area of the park will soon begin undergoing construction to change into something new, but there’s also a MASSIVE new roller coaster being built right in front of our eyes. From what it looks like, this coaster has taken another BIG step forward!

From both outside AND inside of the parks, it’s clear to see that supports have begun to go up for Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift! Something that’s really interesting about this construction, especially in comparison to Disney World’s, is how much we can see into the construction site. In this case, with the way the park is situated, we can see what’s going on from both outside the park gates in CityWalk…

…as well as from inside the park! Now there are some sections that are out of view due to the walls, but with the area it’s being placed in, which is the former home of roller coaster Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, it’s practically impossible to keep it all under wraps.

Not to mention, this ride is also under construction over at Universal Hollywood, but is much further along in the process. Since the coaster over here in Universal Orlando is supposed to be a direct copy, we can easily see what it’s supposed to look like, and how it will run, from its twin over in California.
