EPCOT’s most iconic show of the year is back!
The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has returned to Disney World from now until December 30th, and that means the iconic Candlelight Processional is back! This is a must-see for many parkgoers and is certainly a highlight in Disney World this time of year. So, let’s see how this year’s show looks!
First of all, let’s talk about how to watch the Candlelight Processional in EPCOT. It takes place each night of the festival over in the America Gardens Theater in World Showcase. The showtimes have changed this year, so you can catch it three times per night at 5PM, 6:45PM, and 8:15PM.
Several popular celebrities are narrating the show this year! These people will be leading the retelling of the story of Christmas accompanied by a full orchestra and choir. Here is the full list:
-
- 11/29 – 11/30 Josh Gad
- 12/1 – 12/2 Nico Santos (New)
- 12/3-12/5 Chrissy Metz
- 12/6 – 12/7 Whoopi Goldberg
- 12/8 – 12/10 Tituss Burgess (New)
- 12/11 – 12/12 Brendan Fraser

- 12/19 – 12/21 Pat Sajak
- 12/22 – 12/23 Gloria Estefan
- 12/24 – 12/26 Edward James Olmos
- 12/27 – 12/28 Sterling K Brown
- 12/29 – 12/30 Jodi Benson
We attended the first show on opening night which means we saw Josh Gad, voice of Olaf in Frozen, narrate the story! We were lined up for a WHILE, and when we got into the first show, we did not get a good seat. You’ll want to dedicate some time to waiting in line if you want a better spot!
As we mentioned, we got to see Josh Gad narrate the Candlelight Processional, which was a real treat. He read the story of Christmas.
The processional also features a massive choir singing traditional Christmas songs.
The choir is accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets, and the Voices of Liberty. If you’ve never had a chance to see the Candlelight Processional, we highly recommend it. It’s one of the best parts of the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays.
Gad also posted about his experience narrating at this year’s Candlelight Processional on his Instagram account.
Anyone with a valid EPCOT park ticket can grab a seat, but if you want to try something different, you can also book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. These allow you to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner at one of 14 EPCOT restaurants and get reserved seating for a show of your choosing, subject to availability.
One thing to note about this year is that MANY more restaurants are included in the dining packages, meaning that it could be harder to get a seat without one. We recommend lining up early and trying for the first show so that you have two other chances if that doesn’t work out.
