You CAN’T Do These 4 Things at Disney World in June

Although there is so much to do in Disney World at any given time, you should be prepared for certain closures.

EPCOT

Disney World is constantly changing, so there are closures and refurbishments happening all of the time. Your favorite ride, show, attraction, or activity could be closed so it’s better to prepare now than before you show up to the parks. If you’ve got an upcoming trip, we’ve got to warn you about these 4 things you can’t do in June at Disney World!

The Boneyard

One Animal Kingdom attraction that you may or may not know about is also closed. The Boneyard is a play area in DinoLand USA where kids can run around and burn off some energy — however, it is closed for a long refurbishment until June 13th. If you are visiting in the later half of June, you’ll be able to experience the play area.

As one water park reopens, another closes. Typhoon Lagoon reopened in March and Disney announced that Blizzard Beach would be closing for refurbishment. There is currently no reopening date for the water park.

Splash Mountain closed in January 2023, and it’ll remain closed until late 2024.

The ride will be themed to the movie The Princess and the Frog and when it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Check out some construction updates and see which iconic Splash Mountain decor has been removed.

The new ride will open in 2024
