PHOTOS & VIDEO: Typhoon Lagoon Has Finally Reopened After a MONTHS-Long Closure

We hope you’re ready to return to some surf, sand, and sun because Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon has officially reopened!

Are You Ready?!

The water park was set to reopen on March 19th, but that reopening got delayed. As of March 21st, however, the water park gods have shined their light on the park and we’re stepping inside for the first time in MONTHS. Want to take a look around and see what’s happening over at Typhoon Lagoon? Check it out with us!

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon closed for refurbishment in November of 2022, but has now reopened. It’s important to note, however, that while Typhoon Lagoon has reopened, Blizzard Beach has now CLOSED for a refurbishment of its own.

Typhoon Lagoon Time

But let’s focus on Typhoon Lagoon for now! When we arrived, there really weren’t any crowds at the entrance to the water park. It was a bit chillier in the morning though, so that may have deterred some guests from visiting earlier in the day or at all.

Not Bad

In case you’re wondering how much it costs to get into the water park, here’s a look at current pricing — around $69 per adult (though there is a $64 ticket with block-out dates).

Pricing

We made our way over there fairly early in the day to explore the park, the crowds, the food, and more!

Note that the park’s hours for March 21st were 10AM to 6PM. You’ll want to watch those operating hours closely as they can change.

We made our way into the park and caught this relaxing view!

What a View

And we took a second to say “hello” to a friend (of course).

Then it was time to grab a drink from the Joffrey’s Coffee stand (a Shakin’ Jamaican to be exact)…

Time to Cool Off!

…and find a beach chair!

Plenty Available

There was a LOT to pick from when we visited, but we expect the scene could be very different on a hotter day, later in the day, and during the peak summer months.

Our View

Feeling a rumbly in your tumbly? Head on over to the Joffreys Mini Donuts stand where you’ll find…well…mini donuts!

Hello Beautiful

Excuse us as we stuff these in our faces…

Donuts!

If you’ve never been to Typhoon Lagoon or haven’t been in a while, you might be wondering what its park map looks like. Here’s an overview of the map…

Where Will You Start?

Time for more snacks? Of course it is! We stopped by the snack shop next to Typhoon Tilly’s to grab a few different sweet snacks.

Snack Spot NEXT to Typhoon Tilly’s

We grabbed the Hei Hei Cone ($5.99) (DOLE Whip Pineapple and Raspberry Soft Serve)…

…the Moana Cone ($5.99) (DOLE Whip Strawberry and Vanilla Soft-serve in a White Chocolate Coconut-dipped Waffle Cone)…

How Fun!

…and a Kungaloosh Kooler ($15.50) (DOLE Whip Strawberry with a blend of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Myers’s Original Dark Rum, Bols Blackberry Brandy Liqueur, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and a Splash of Fanta Strawberry).

Another Drink!

We had quite the day sampling these sweet treats!

Quincy and Emma Snacking Away!

There are plenty of snacks to try here.

What Will You Try?

Then we made our way to Typhoon Tilly’s itself to check out the eats there!

Menu

We opted for the Shrimp Louie Lettuce Wrap for $12.99.
