Well, we’ve got some bad news for Disney water park fans.
Typhoon Lagoon is one of Disney World’s two water parks. It went under refurbishment last year and was set to reopen today. However, when we checked out the park hours for the day, we noticed something odd — it isn’t open!
Online, Disney World’s website doesn’t show any hours available for today or tomorrow.
When we chatted online with a Disney World associate, they confirmed with us that the water park will be closed today and tomorrow due to the cold weather.
This means that Typhoon Lagoon will likely reopen on Tuesday, March 21st now.
Blizzard Beach was set to close on March 19th for a refurbishment so as of today, none of the Disney World water parks are open. This water park recently got some new Frozen-themed touches, so we’re anxious to see if Disney will make any more changes to the park.
Don’t forget though that there are lots of other closures to watch out for this month in the parks, and be sure to stay tuned to AllEars when we check out the newly reopened park later this week!
