Disney World is a popular spring and summer break destination for families, when kids have time off from school. However, these can be some of the warmest times in the parks and after long days of walking sometimes you just need to cool off!

Disney World has two water parks where guests can splash around but one has been closed for some time. Thankfully, just in time for warmer weather and sunnier skies, Typhoon Lagoon is re-opening!
Since November 13th, 2022, Typhoon Lagoon has been closed for refurbishment. While this may have been a little disappointing to some, we’re glad they kept the closure to the coldest months of the year so that we can hop back into the wave pool once the temperatures get warmer!

Guests will be able to mosey down the lazy river and enjoy all of the slides, tubes, and other activities at Typhoon Lagoon once again starting March 19th, 2023! The usual attractions will be available, plus beginning on May 20th the H2O Glow Nights After Hours events will be back! These separately ticketed events feature special treats, fun floaties, and more all set to the beat of their DJ. You can start buying tickets tomorrow.

Everyone’s favorite treats are also coming back! The popular DOLE Whip snacks like the Hei Hei Cone and the Kungaloosh Kooler will be back, along with new items. You can also buy the Typhoon Tilly Sipper for a limited time which gives you refillable fountain drinks all day.

Get your tickets for Typhoon Lagoon and enjoy a day amongst pirates and shipwrecks! Stay tuned to our site for more Disney World news.
