Disney and Topps are teaming up for a new Major League Baseball (MLB)-themed insert series that is set to change the trading card game.

On September 24th, trading card giant Topps is set to release the new 2025 Disney Topps Chrome trading card set. The 200-card base set is set to include well-known Disney and Pixar animated and live action characters, “rare authentic autograph cards of some of the greatest live action and voice talent from the epic history of Disney and Pixar”, and sketch cards. In addition, the set will also feature some cards themed to America’s pastime: Major League Baseball!
As a part of the Topps Chrome Disney set, three of the company’s most popular characters: Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck will appear in official Major League Baseball trading card form. According to both companies, these first-ever collaborations between Topps, Disney, and MLB will blend “timeless characters with the tradition of baseball to create a must-have collectible insert for fans of both worlds.”

The cards will feature the characters wearing authentic MLB uniforms representing all 30 Major League Baseball teams, and as someone who has been visiting Disney World and following baseball for 30 years, I’m QUITE excited!

In the 2025 Disney Chrome release, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy will be featured in home jerseys of each team, with each character representing two of MLB’s six divisions. The 2025 Topps Chrome Update Baseball collection will then feature each character in away jerseys.

The Breakdown for the 2025 Lineup Includes:
- Mickey Mouse wearing the jerseys of the American League (Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, and Athletics) & National League (Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks) West Divisions
- Goofy wearing the jerseys of the AL (New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, and Baltimore Orioles) & NL (New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins, and Washington Nationals) East Divisions.
- Donald Duck wearing the jerseys of the AL (Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, and Cleveland Guardians) & NL (Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cincinnati Reds) Central Divisions.

The program is set to last for three seasons, with the characters rotating across the league’s divisions. Meaning by the end, there will be a home and away card for each of the three for all of MLB’s 30 franchises.

The 2025 Topps Chrome Disney Trading Card Set is scheduled to be available on Topps.com, as well as at select hobby shops and major retailers.
We got a chance to check out the exclusive Topps x Mickey & Friends trading cards with a little help from our pals, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy!

During our preview of the Topps Chrome cards, we were able to visit entire sets of what these new cards look like in person…

…as well as how each of the packs will come when you go to pick them up in stores!

Of course we had to open them up immediately (don’t worry — we weren’t about to hold out on you as to what cards we drew)!

But cards aren’t the only merch you can snag from Topps! They’ve also got a collector’s book with card sleeves…

…baseball jerseys themed to Mickey Mouse…

…hats, pennants, and more.

We even got to stay long enough to see our Disney pals take to the field…

…and have Mickey throw out the first pitch of the game.

It really was a memorable event and moment to witness in person that made collecting these cards even more special. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on Disney collectibles!
