Hello to HOLLYWOOD! We’re at the grand re-opening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it’s already been a day FILLED with entertainment.

Although we’ve been able to shop at all sorts of stores, wave to our favorite characters, and even relax for a short mask-free moment, we’re all about hopping on those attractions again!! (Oh, how we’ve missed them!)
Hollywood Studios opened at 10AM this morning to welcome guests back to the star-studded line-up of rides, restaurants, and more in the park. Since Rise of the Resistance is operating with a modified Virtual Queue system, Boarding Groups will be available at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM.

However, this morning the Boarding Groups filled up within only a few minutes! We were put into Group 26, which is a pretty low number when it comes to those Boarding Passes. But, the lines are moving pretty slowly since we’ve waited over 3 hours without being boarded (we’ll keep updating this with more details!).

It’s important to note that all the other attractions in the park are operating on Standy-by only currently. The crowds varied, depending on where guests visited around Hollywood Studios. When the park opened at 10 AM, multiple rides had low wait times that ranged from 5 to 20 minutes.

However, e-ticket attractions like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway started off high with wait times of 60 minutes and 120 minutes respectively. Slinky Dog Dash was closed first thing in the morning, most likely to clean the attraction.

Wait times picked up slightly an hour later with the lowest wait times at 15 minutes for Alien Swirling Saucers and Muppet*Vision 3D…

…with the highest wait times of 60 minutes for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway (which shaved off an entire hour of wait time from earlier) and 65 minutes for Slinky Dog Dash.

Many of the attractions in Hollywood Studios had the same wait times as they did at 11AM. However, Smugglers Run notably dropped from 55 minutes to a 25 minute wait only!

Instead, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster jumped up from 20 minutes to 50 minutes, along with Tower of Terror climbing from a 30 minute wait time to a 50 minute wait time.

Buuut, the long wait didn’t last long for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster as the ride dropped back down to only 10 minutes.

However, we were pretty surprised to see that Tower of Terror‘s wait time rose 20 minutes above Slinky Dog Dash’s (which is pretty unusual in the park at this time of the day)!

While 2 PM is usually one of the peak times of the day, many of the wait times ranged from 10 to 25 minutes (with Toy Story Mania surprisingly being the shortest wait).

However, the longest wait times were from Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Slinky Dog Dash ranging from 40 to 45 minutes.

Many of the rides dropped an hour later to wait times between 10 and 30 minutes at 3 PM…

…with the highest wait times being Tower of Terror (jumping an extra half an hour) to 70 minutes and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opening back up again at 115 minutes.

The wait times for all of the rides dropped down considerably (only ten minutes for Smugglers Run at 4 PM?!)…

…even though Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway stayed pretty steady at a high wait time of 100 minutes.

But, 5 PM got a little wild since SO MANY RIDES ran only 5 to 20 minutes (wait, what?!)!

However, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Slinky Dog Dash all closed for routine cleaning.

After the rides opened back up again, a few attractions climbed slightly, even though the waits remained pretty low for the end of the day at 6 PM.

Although Slinky Dog Dash stayed closed, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened again at an 80 minute wait.

Since the park closed at 8 PM today, the times at 7 PM were surprisingly low for the end of the day. Most of the attractions ranged from 5 to 10 minute waits…

…with the longest lines being Tower of Terror at 25 minutes and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 80 minutes. However, Alien Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog Dash closed for a short bit of time.

And, that’s a wrap on the official re-opening day in Hollywood Studios! We’ll keep updating you on what the wait times continue to be during the initial re-opening in Disney World.
