Every once in a while, a Disney World ride will close for refurbishment!

Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures! So today, we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions that will be unavailable from May 17th through 23rd, 2021.
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for a really long time: over 2 years! Construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run is currently blocking its route around the park.

That TRON construction is reportedly delayed, so there’s really no telling when the Railroad’s path could be clear again. We’ll keep you posted on any updates Disney provides!

The Hall of Presidents
We’re seeing a more typical refurbishment over at the Hall of Presidents, which closes each time a new president is elected. Right now, it’s installing an audio-animatronic for President Joe Biden!

Disney hasn’t announced when this show will reopen, but we’ll let you know once they do!

Main Street Confectionery
Elsewhere in Magic Kingdom, Main Street Confectionery is being refurbished! The closure is expected to last through July 24th at the earliest — that’s as far out as Disney’s refurbishment calendar currently goes.

But don’t worry — Main Street Cinema is stocking all of the Confectionery’s sweet treats in the meantime!

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Let’s take a look at some closures at Disney’s hotels! A huge project over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort means the entryway, lobby, and monorail station are currently being refurbished. Additionally, the guest rooms are getting a Moana makeover — you’ll be able to stay in them this July, and you can make reservations now!

And at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the Main Tower Guest Rooms are getting some TLC. You’ll notice scrim has been hung to cover those areas while work is being done.

Last but not least, at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool’s waterslide and splash pad are getting refurbished!

Meadow Swimmin’ Pool remains open throughout the construction. The work is expected to last through May!
