There are a lot of ways that Walt Disney World is expected to be different when the theme parks reopen in July.

Disney has already announced that character dining, fireworks shows, and other crowd-gathering events won’t take place immediately upon reopening, but another touch from EPCOT may also be missing.

According to a reported agreement between the Walt Disney Company and labor unions representing Disney World employees, the cultural representatives who staff EPCOT’s World Showcase may not return to the parks right away.

LaughingPlace.com reports that a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the two parties. In the details, it states that Cast Members who “do not meet the culturally authentic theming at EPCOT may be temporarily assigned to work in positions which are otherwise reserved for cultural representatives.” That means you may see people working in World Showcase pavilions who are not from the countries represented.

This news follows previous announcements that Disney suspended the cultural representatives program in March and furloughed non-essential cast members.
