As Disney World prepares to reopen their parks in July, they have announced a variety of changes and cancellations that can be be expected upon their reopening.

Today, Disney has released another change that will be implemented when Disney World reopens.
Disney has sent to emails to guests with cancelled Disney Dining Plan packages that confirm character dining will not be available when the parks reopen. The change is due to the need for limited capacity in restaurants, along with the requested physical distancing.
Big thank you to an AllEars Instagram follower @jessicabrownla who sent us screenshots of her email from Disney!

When Disney originally announced changes coming to their dining and reservations, they had noted that, “restaurants and other experiences such as behind-the-scenes tours will be limited in capacity, and other experiences may remain closed.” However, now it is being confirmed that these cancelled experiences will include character dining, at least temporarily when the parks reopen.

We will continue to keep you updated on any additional changes coming to Disney World for their reopening.

Sucking all the magic straight out of magic kingdom well played Disney, charge full price for no expierence. Well played
They are not really giving us a whole lot of reason to go right now and it’s just too expensive to have so much of what makes Disney “Disney” not be available. I’m very sad because I am annual passholder and I travel from Illinois several times a year, but probably going to end up canceling our August visit.
Wow. This just keeps getting better and better. I believe I would have just waited another month and stayed closed rather than try to offer such a limited experience at full price. They really should be ashamed.
