The Disney Swan & Dolphin Hotels have been in our news a lot pretty recently.

It was just announced that Picabu at the Dolphin permanently closed very abruptly and will become a new game room, bowling alley, and dining spot called Lagoon Games, Lanes, and Eats, and now it’s just been announced that ANOTHER restaurant is permanently closing as well.
Shula’s Steak House is a table service restaurant located at the Dolphin Hotel. It’s owned by the former Miami Dolphin football Coach Don Shula, but now it’s just been announced that this restaurant will be permanently closing!

Shula’s Steakhouse will be taking reservations through June 14th, 2025. After that, the restaurant will close to make way for something new.

Shula’s is closing to make way for Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina. Mina is an American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author, and owns the Mina Group, which manages 40 restaurants around the country.

Very sorry to hear this news. Shula’s was my go to birthday dinner every vacation. One of the few restaurants left in WDW that doesn’t overwhelm your meal with spices, sauces or other unnecessary add ons.
