Disney World Reveals NEW Hotel Restaurant Coming Soon

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort has a lot going on right now!

It was recently announced that Picabu closed abruptly to make way for Lagoon Games, Lanes, and Eats, a new game room, bowling alley, and dining option coming to the hotel, and now, Shula’s Steakhouse just announced it would be permanently closing as well. Now we also know what’s taking its place, and some of you will be very excited to hear that a Michael Mina restaurant is moving in!

It’s just been announced that Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina will be replacing Shula’s Steakhouse at the Dolphin Resort. Currently, Michael Mina, American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author who also owns the Mina Group, does not own any restaurants on Disney World property.

The Mina Group does currently own and operate a total of 40 restaurants in Arizona, California, Florida (Miami and Delray Beach), Hawaii, New York, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, DC, and Wyoming, as well as Dubai and Saudi Arabia. This will be the 10th Bourbon Steak location and the third in Florida.

Mina said, “The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is the ideal location for Bourbon Steak. Their strong commitment to culinary excellence aligns perfectly with our vision at The Mina Group. We see it as an ideal partnership, and I look forward to spending time with the local team to realize this dynamic new project.”

There is no opening date for the restaurant just yet, but Shula’s will close on June 14th, 2025. The new restaurant is expected to open mid-summer, but we’ll let you know as soon as an exact opening date is announced.
