It’s happened to all of us. We get to Disney World, excited to ride a specific ride, only to find out that it’s closed. Sure, that might not ruin our vacation, but it’s still a big disappointment when that happens. It could also force you to change your plans on the fly, which can also be frustrating.

We are here to make sure that doesn’t happen to you. Now, while we can’t keep Disney World from closing rides, we can give you a heads up for rides that have planned closures. So if you’re visiting Disney World from November 10th through 16th, we’re sharing the full list of closures at the parks and hotels during that time.
Magic Kingdom
Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Mickey’s PhilharMagic has been temporarily closed for refurbishment since November 1st, 2025.

However, the attraction is showing hours for November 23rd, so we expect it to reopen then.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger spin temporarly closed for an update on August 4th, 2025. It’s expected to get a new show scene, updated ride vehicles, and gameplay enhancements.

The ride is expected to reopen in 2026. Some of the new enhancements include new reactive targets and handheld blasters. A new character will also be introduced to the ride.
Liberty Square Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Rivers of America
The Rivers of America, which includes the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island, permanently closed on July 7th, 2025. Now, there are a ton of construction walls around the area. We’ve also seen structures on Tom Sawyer Island getting demolished. The river has also been drained.

This area closed to make way for a new expansion in Frontierland, Piston Peak, which will be Cars-themed. This new expansion will include two new attractions.
Did Disney Just Tease What’s Coming to the Magic Kingdom EXPANSION?
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been closed since January 6th, 2025, for a major overhaul. The ride is getting a new track, new enhancements, and “a little bit of magic.”

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad isn’t expected to reopen until 2026. When it reopens, it will include a new effect: “when the trains rattle their way underground to spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, illuminating stalagmites and stalactites.”
Tortuga Tavern
Tortuga Tavern has generally been a seasonal restaurant. It’s been closed for a while (we last saw it open during the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party as a cookie distribution spot).

We’re not sure what plans Disney has for this dining spot, but we have seen shrugs around the restaurant (although they’re gone now). The seating area is open, but the restaurant itself is not.
Walt Disney World Railroad’s Frontierland Station
The Frontierland station for the Walt Disney World Railroad closed on July 7th to make way for construction for the new Cars expansion in Magic Kingdom.

The Fantasyland and Main Street, U.S.A. stations are still open, though, in “shuttle mode.”

EPCOT
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
From November 10th through November 13th, 2025, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closed to get some new updates.

The ride is getting enhanced digital visuals and clearer imagery in 2D. New props and lightning will be added to the queue and attraction over coming months.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Harambe Market
Harambe Market temporarily closed on October 20th for a refurbishment. It’s not expected to reopen until early 2026.

There are still plenty of quick tasty choices for food in Animal Kingdom, though, like Flame Tree Barbecue and Satu’li Canteen.
Kali River Rapids
Kali River Rapids closed for maintenance on October 6th, 2025. This ride often closes during the cooler months (because who wants to get wet when it’s chilly out?), so this isn’t uncommon.

Kali River Rapids is expected to reopen in December 2025.
TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, Fossil Fun Games, The Boneyard, Dino Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites
DinoLand, U.S.A. is going through a phase of closures as the land gets converted into Pueblo Esperanza, a new Tropical Americas-themed land. The first round of closures started on January 13th, 2025, with TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Games permanently closing.

The Boneyard closed on September 2nd, 2025, while Dino Bite Snacks and Trilo-Bites closed on October 20th. The rest of DinoLand, U.S.A. will close on February 2nd, 2026.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie
Vacation Fun closed on October 20th, 2025. It’s expected to reopen before the end of the year.

Disney hasn’t announced if this attraction will be getting any major changes, but we’ll keep an eye out for updates.
Animation Courtyard
Animation Courtyard closed on September 25th, 2025. This includes Star Wars Launch Bay, the Disney Jr. Play and Dance! show and the character meet-and-greets. The area is getting a complete revamp into Walt Disney Studios, where animated characters will “come to life.”

Disney Jr. Play and Dance! will be getting a “fresh” upgrade. There will also be a new Drawn to Wonderland playground area themed around Mary Blair’s concept art for Alice in Wonderland.
Muppets Courtyard, including Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo, and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano closed for good on May 11th, 2025, while Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, 2025. Muppets Courtyard is now surrounded by construction walls as Disney creates a new Monsters, Inc. land.

The new land will bring the first-ever inverted roller coaster to Disney Parks.
Blizzard Beach
Blizzard Beach closed on September 8th, 2025, although both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon were open this summer at the same time for the first time in forever. However, Blizzard Beach is now closed for refurbishment.

If you’re looking for some water park fun, though, Typhoon Lagoon is open.

Promenade Fine Art Gallery — Disney’s BoardWalk
The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed on October 20th, 2025. The gallery isn’t permanently closing, though. Instead, it’s changing locations.

We don’t know where the gallery is moving to yet, but we’ll let you know once we hear something.
The Paddock Pool and The Paddock Grill — Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
The Paddock Pool, the aquatic play area, and The Paddock Grill closed on October 13th, 2025, for routine maintenance.

This area is expected to reopen in early December.
Leisure Pool in Miller’s Road — Disney’s Old Key West Resort
The leisure pool in Miller’s Rode closed for refurbishment on September 29th, but is expected to reopen in late November.

During that time, guests may see and hear construction during the day. During this time, guests can enjoy the Sandcastle Pool and the leisure pools at Old Turtle Pond and South Point.
Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Kidani Village’s guest rooms are currently undergoing refurbishment. This work is expected to go on through May 2026.

During that time, guests may see or hear construction work at the hotel. However, all amenities will remain available.
Jellyrolls — Disney’s BoardWalk
The dueling piano bar, Jellyrolls, closed permanently at Disney’s BoardWalk on April 19th, 2025. This may not be the end for the bar, though as it has announced it is “making a move.”

We don’t have any update on where the bar may move to, but we’ll let you know when something is announced.
Don’t Stay in a Disney World Hotel Without This $15 Upgrade
Bay Lake Tower — Disney’s Contemporary Resort
The Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is getting its first major refurbishment in its history.

This refurbishment started in September and is expected to last through July 2026.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Construction has started at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, with the project expected to run through 2026 or 2027. The main entrance roadway and bus area are being reconfigured.

Note that you may see or hear construction during daytime hours at this resort. However, resort amenities, like pools and dining, are expected to remain open.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is also undergoing a big upgrade. At the moment, work is being done on the lobby of the resort and is expected to be completed soon.

The lobby will remain open, though, and all hotel amenities will be available. However, you will probably see or hear construction during the daytime hours.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside
In April 2025, Disney started updating guest rooms in the Magnolia Bend section of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside. Expect to see or hear construction during this time.

The work is expected to continue until February 2026.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is currently undergoing some regular maintenance, so you may see or hear construction during the day if you visit.

This work is expected to be completed in 2026.
Disney Springs
NBA Experience
The NBA Experience closed in March 2020, and the building has remained abandoned save for the occasional pop-up shop. However, the building is now under construction to make way for LEVEL99, a social entertainment experience with challenge rooms.

We’ve seen lots of signs of construction around the building, but Disney has not yet revealed an opening date for LEVEL99.
Check back with AllEars again soon for more.
