Lightning Lane Rules Have CHANGED in Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Today truly may be one of the biggest days in Disney World in a LONG time, and we’re here to cover it all!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is open!

There are numerous attractions opening, like Bluey’s Wild World in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, not to mention that Cool KIDS’ SUMMER officially kicks off today as well. There would have been even more if some of the offerings hadn’t opened early (we’re looking at you, Walt Disney Studios and Soarin’ Across America!), but as it stands, you need to know that with all these changes, Lightning Lane now looks DIFFERENT in Hollywood Studios!

While Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! opened early with The Walt Disney Studios courtyard a few days ago, the new attraction hasn’t been listed as part of Lightning Lane until its official opening date, which is today.

This new show is inspired by Disney Jr.’s global hit series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+” series, and while the theatre is decently large, during the height of summer, it’s possible shows could fill up. That’s why we think it’s great that it’s now part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, as well as included in Lightning Lane Premier Pass as a Tier 2 selection.

The other Tier 2 Lightning Lane attractions available in Hollywood Studios are:

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets also officially opens today, and is also now included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This is a Tier 1 selection, meaning that when you’re making your initial three selections, you’ll only be able to choose it with two other lower tiered attractions. The other Tier 1 attractions (so you won’t be able to choose more than one during your initial booking) are:

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Slinky Dog Dash

Once you’ve used up one of your three initial selections, you can then choose a return time for any attraction that’s available, no matter the tier. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is also included in Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
