Today is the big day! The Muppets have officially taken over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and now, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is officially open to guests.

Now, we had a chance to ride the new coaster early, but we wanted to see what things would be like on opening day, so we made our way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what the crowds are like there.
When we arrived at Hollywood Studios, we noticed that the crowds had already arrived in full force (or should we say G-Force?).

We made our way over to Sunset Boulevard to get a look at what we expected to be a LONG line for the new ride. We’re used to seeing long lines for new rides in Disney World, but we expected these lines to be even longer because this new ride is Muppets-themed.

The current posted wait time for the ride was 85 minutes, so yeah, it’s going to be a long wait if you’re visiting the ride today. That was around 8:25, and the park had only opened at 8 AM, not including Early Entry, which starts at 7:30 AM.

If you do want to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets with a shorter wait, you might want to consider trying to ride during Early Theme Park Entry, as Disney has confirmed the ride will be available during that time.

Another option is to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and pre-booking the ride early (7 days before your trip if staying at a Disney World hotel or 3 days for everyone else). You’ll be able to pre-book one Tier 1 Lightning Lane and two Tier 2 rides. As Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is a Tier 1 ride, you’ll want to pre-book it over the other Tier 1 rides when you pre-book Lightning Lanes. We suggest pre-booking it as a Lightning Lane because we think Lightning Lanes will go FAST for the ride.

We’ll keep you updated on other big things happening in Disney World, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
Um, Does Anyone Care that the Muppets Taking Over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Totally Breaks a HUGE Disney Rule?
