NEWS: CLOSING DATE ANNOUNCED for The Boneyard in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Our time in DinoLand U.S.A. is slowly coming to an end as Disney announces the closing date for another part of the land.

DinoLand U.S.A.

In January, TriceraTop Spin, the Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures closed permanently so construction could start on Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas area coming to Animal Kingdom. Areas around the land have been closing in phases, and now we can add another to the list of closures.

The Boneyard will close on September 2nd, 2025. If you want to dig like an archaeologist looking for dinosaur bones, make sure you do it before September.

We’re sad to see this fun play area go away, but we won’t shed too many tears because the Tropical Americas will include a NEW themed play area for kids.

What about everything else in DinoLand? Well, there’s not too much left, but DINOSAUR will close sometime in 2026, and Dr. Seeker will have to find a new Dino Institute.

Restaurantosaurus and Dino-Bite Snacks are still open, and Disney says, “You’ve still got time in 2025.” The Boneyard is closing a bit sooner than we expected, so if you need some dinosaur-themed snacks, we’d recommend heading there while you can!

A first-ever Encanto-themed attraction will be coming to the area, allowing you to enter the casita and…

Pueblo Esperanza will be coming to Animal Kingdom in 2027, and we’ll be keeping a watchful eye on it for construction news and new land details. Make sure you keep following AllEars for more.
