One of the BEST Exclusive Parades Just RETURNED at Universal Orlando!

Our favorite time of the year is HERE at Universal Orlando!

You may not realize it, but Universal has festivals just like EPCOT does, just for different occasions! For example, our favorite festival of the year by far has just started, and it’s to celebrate Mardi Gras! Not only does this festival have great food and decorations, but it’s also known for an iconic parade that we can’t get enough of each year.

Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval is being celebrated in the park from now through March 30th, 2025, and the parade is one of the biggest draws of the festival.

Each year, there’s a new theme to the parade, which means there are often new floats or designs that haven’t been seen before. The parade occurs each night, but you’ll want to check the Universal Orlando app (or as a nearby Team Member) about what time it’s scheduled to be, as it can change!

This year, Universal is celebrating 30 years of their partnership with Kern Studios, who are responsible for most of the floats. There are also SIX new floats this year, in addition to an entirely new parade lineup! And get this — all the parade floats are HAND GLITTERED!

Just like every year, we really loved the parade and all the upbeat energy it brings to the evening. Not only are the floats amazing, but so are the performers on and around each one!

If you’re checking out the parade this year, be sure to prepare yourself to catch lots of beads, and also protect your face from them every now and then — people throw them HARD, and others will reach around you to try and grab them!
