Quincy and I just got off the trip of a lifetime on Disney Cruise Line‘s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, which sails from Singapore!

This ship is unlike any of the others in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and there’s truly so much to explore that’s entirely new. We knew we’d have a fun, but busy three days on board. One of the parts of this ship that’s so special and breathtaking is that there are seven uniquely themed areas that all have their own look and feel. I got to visit each and every one of them myself, so allow me to take you on a little tour of each one!
Disney Imagination Garden
In the very center of the ship, you’ll find the absolutely stunning Disney Imagination Garden. The courtyard itself is decorated beautifully, but then there’s also a stage in the area that you can watch different shows on, like the Let’s Set Sail dance party, Avengers Assemble!, and Duffy and The Friend Ship.

One of my favorite parts of this area was the Sorcerer Mickey topiary, the golden “trees” that provided shade, and the beautiful Disney castle artwork on the opposite side of the courtyard (the stage is on one side, the castle on the other).

This was also a great place to meet characters throughout the cruise, and right nearby, you’ll find two dining locations — Gramma Tala’s Kitchen and Mowgli’s Eatery.

This spot is absolutely breathtaking both during the day and at night, so I recommend making sure you see it both ways!
Disney Discovery Reef
If you love the stories of The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, and Luca, or just feel like you’re under the sea, Disney Discovery Reef is perfect for you! Similar to Disney Imagination Garden, this is an open air area, so you’ll be able to look right up and see the sky. During the day, I saw the incredible coral reef displays, and the way the sun shone through the glass canopies had stars in my eyes.

At night, though? This space turns into a bioluminescent paradise! Again, this is another area I recommend seeing both during the day and at night — otherwise, you’ll feel like you’re missing out!

As for dining and additional entertainment, you’ll find Cosmic Kebabs, Bewitching Boba and Brews, Taverna Portorosso, Palo Café, Palo Trattoria, and Mike and Sulley’s Flavors of Asia. Even if you’re not planning on dining at any of these spots, it’s a must-visit.
Toy Story Place
Kiddos will absolutely love Toy Story Place, which spans much of the upper decks of the ship!

Here you’ll find tons of family-friendly offerings, like the Sunnyside Family Pool, Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides, the Flying Saucer Splash Zone, the Toy Story Splash Pad, and multiple whirlpool spas. Disney films play throughout the day on two jumbo screens, meaning there’s never a lack of entertainment.

When it’s time to eat, you can also check out Pizza Planet and Wheezy’s Freezies. I thought this was such a fun, lively, adorable themed area for families, which does mean it was pretty busy nearly all times of day.

I also really enjoyed that there were plenty of seats in the shade AND the sun, so everyone could choose what they preferred.
Marvel Landing
Adventure is the name of the game at Marvel Landing! This area is located at the very top of the ship, because not only can you meet a few different Marvel characters here throughout the day, but it’s where THREE rides are on board.

We got to see Ms. Marvel, AKA Kamala Khan, who we don’t get to see often at all, so this was such a special treat for us. If you’re looking for lots of thrill, though, you’ve gotta check out the three rides (yes, ACTUAL rides) on board — Groot Galaxy Spin, Pym Quantum Racers, and Ironcycle Test Run (the first roller coaster ever on a Disney cruise!).

Groot Galaxy Spin is a fun, Dumbo-style spinning attraction that’s good for all ages, but Pym Quantum Racers wasn’t very fast at all, and we saw it break down quite a few times. However, we’re hoping it’s just that the ride is still breaking itself in and will smooth out in time!

If you’re a Marvel fan, you’ve got to at least check it out!
Wayfinder Bay
Want some ultimate relaxation? Then head to Wayfinder Bay to check out the wading pool, tiered deck seating, and entertainment themed to Moana.

The giant screen near the pool allows for the area to double as an area for interactive events and live shows like Moana: Call of the Sea.

This is also where you can find Wayfinder Bar, which we enjoyed trying a few drinks from (review on that coming soon!).

While this area wasn’t an adult-only area (there really aren’t any of those on the ship), this was an area we mostly saw adults in, or the kids that were in the area were keeping themselves quietly occupied. This may be one of the calmer parts of the ship, since it is more geared towards adults, so if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, keep this in mind!
San Fransokyo Street
Looking for a lively spot with loads of energy and Disney theming? San Fransokyo Street totally took my breath away, and I think it’ll do the same for you. This whole area is inspired by the fictional city from Big Hero 6, and is where you’ll find the tween and teen clubs, Edge and Vibe, both disguised as shops on the square.

If you’re in the mood for a Disney film, you can head into Baymax Cinemas and check out some special shopping opportunities at Duffy and Friends Shop. You can also take part in the Duffy and Friends Discovery Quest, where you can follow clues to lost items around the ship and get a special prize.

You can also find tons of entertainment in the Big Hero Arcade, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Baymax, who often comes out to say hello!

I couldn’t get enough of all the clever details to really immerse guests in the theming in this area. Everywhere I looked, there was something new I noticed, no matter how many times I walked through!
Town Square
Finally, we have Town Square, which can only be described as stepping into a fairytale! Here you’ll find theming elements inspired by Cinderella, Tiana, Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, and more, and you can check out the numerous dining spots and shops in the area.

This is also where you’ll find the absolutely stunning Walt Disney Theatre, where you can watch live, Broadway-level performances throughout your vacation. These never fail to impress me, so I highly recommend prioritizing at least one of the shows if you’re interested in theatre.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is also available on board here for kids, and those looking to have a beautiful tea experience can check out the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea. If you want a superhero makeover, check out the Marvel Style Suite (or check it out at night when it becomes a lounge), and those who are fans of Disney villains should check out the Spellbound lounge.

And there you have it! A super quick overview of the seven specially themed areas on board, but keep an eye on our blog posts and YouTube channel for all the latest Disney Adventure news and reviews, so stay tuned!
