There’s a lot that you can do in Disney World. From riding attractions to tasting snacks, and watching shows to relaxing at the pool, you probably won’t have a hard time filling up your schedule. But what about the things you CAN’T do?

Because Disney World is constantly updating the various attractions, buildings, and decor, some things will be closed periodically as those changes are made. We’ve got a complete list for you now of everything that’s going to be closed in Disney World this week, from July 17th through July 23rd.
Magic Kingdom Closures
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad is going to be closed for all of this week. The railroad has been closed for a long time now, and Disney still hasn’t revealed when it’ll reopen.

Part of the reason for its closure is construction on the upcoming TRON: Lightcycle Run roller coaster, which has interrupted the train tracks in Tomorrowland. The train likely won’t be able to pass through that area until construction wraps up, and Disney hasn’t said when the coaster will be finished.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Another long-term closure in Magic Kingdom is Enchanted Tales with Belle.

Disney hasn’t announced when this attraction could reopen, but it’s scheduled to be closed for all of this week.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Although many characters have returned to Magic Kingdom, Pete’s Silly Sideshow has remained closed. Disney has revealed that this character meet-and-greet spot will reopen sometime “in the coming months.”

Before the closure, you could meet Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy at this spot. Right now, guests can find Minnie at the Town Square Theater, greeting people with Mickey.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is closed this week, but it’ll reopen on August 25th, which isn’t too far away!

At this boutique, kids (ages 3 to 12) can become Disney princesses and princes.
Harmony Barber Shop
Another Magic Kingdom spot that’s reopening soon is the Harmony Barber Shop. This shop is going to reopen on July 31st.

You can book your reservations now to get a haircut here once it’s open. Keep in mind that the price for haircuts has gone up since it was last available.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closures
Fantasmic!
Fantasmic! has been closed for a long time now in Hollywood Studios, and it will be closed for this week as well. The popular nighttime show will reopen sometime this year, and we can’t wait to watch it again when it does.

When the show returns, there will be some updates and changes, including new effects, characters, and stunts.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Another show in Hollywood Studios that’s going to be closed for this week is Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

Unfortunately, Disney hasn’t announced when or if this show will reopen.
Check out Genie+ CHANGES coming to Hollywood Studios this week.
EPCOT Closures
Canada Far & Wide in CircleVision 360
EPCOT’s 2022 Food & Wine Festival kicked off last week, and we had a great time trying out all the new and returning eats! One of the festival food booths — Appleseed Orchard — is located inside the theater for Canada Far & Wide in CircleVision 360, so that attraction is closed for now.

We’re expecting the show to remain closed throughout the festival, which ends on November 19th. In the meantime, you can check out the full line-up for Eat to the Beat concerts coming to EPCOT over the next few months and enjoy some live music in the park when you visit.

Disney Water Park Refurbishments
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is closed right now, and Disney hasn’t announced when it will return.

If you’re looking for a water park experience in Disney World, visit Typhoon Lagoon instead! This park has a lazy river, some water slides, and lots of tasty snacks.
Learn more about Typhoon Lagoon here.
Although several rides and attractions are going to be closed this week, there are plenty of things to see and do in the parks! You can visit the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster in EPCOT, or meet characters in Magic Kingdom.

If you’re hoping to get on more rides with lower wait times, consider buying Genie+, which allows you to skip the standby line at certain attractions. This perk costs $15 per person, per day, and you’ll use the My Disney Experience app to make Lightning Lane reservations at the attractions you want to visit. Check out our full guide to Genie+ here.
