This Disney World Ride is Not Having a Great 2022…

It’s pretty safe to say that 2022 has not been the year of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

The Hollywood Studios thrill ride has seen a bumpy road the past few weeks, with issues starting around December 29th. The ride shut down a few times before the New Year, then again on January 4th, and while we were optimistic for the ride’s return, the struggle is real right now.

On January 7th and 8th, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed. We’re not sure why it’s down this time, but last time, closure was due to safety issues according to Cast Members.

It’s unclear when the ride will reopen again, and with the amount of closures it’s had in just the last few weeks, it might need more than a couple days of maintenance. The gift shop attached to the attraction, Rock Around the Shop, is also closed. However, now is the perfect time for a photo-op in front of the iconic guitar with no one blocking it!

At least the guitar still looks epic!

UPDATE: On January 9th, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster reopened! We’ll continue to watch for any additional closures.
