Disney has confirmed the closing date for its iconic Aerosmith-themed roller coaster, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, in Hollywood Studios. The attraction will close on March 2nd, 2026, and the final day to ride the coaster is March 1st, 2026.

Now, the good news is that this attraction isn’t fully disappearing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Instead, Disney will retheme the ride, transforming it into a new Muppets-inspired Roller Coaster.
Disney previously announced that the new Muppets-themed attraction will open in the summer of 2026, giving Imagineers a short window of time to transform the ride.

Disney also confirmed that G-Force Records will look a little different as the Muppets take over, thanks to some help from Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse. Outside G-Force Records, the large guitar will get a groovy, colorful makeover inspired by Electric Mayhem’s van. The piano motif at the base will feature a golden key “as a nod to a certain far-out band leader.”

The story goes that the Electric Mayhem band is headlining its biggest concert EVER. You’ve been given VIP passes, which means you can come inside the recording studio, where you discover the Electric Mayhem laying down some sweet tracks with the penguins acting as their audio engineers.

Scooter is trying to convince the band to stop their jam session and is asking you to help the band get to the concert venue in time. During your ride, you’ll be rocking out to Electric Mayhem, playing some of the most iconic, rockin’ hits to keep the music and adrenaline pumping.

Disney also shared that a first-of-its-kind Muppet Animatronic will be part of the attraction. Who could it be?! We have SO MANY QUESTIONS!

We can’t wait to rock out with the Muppets — Disney has yet to share a full track list for the ride, but we’re expecting some far-out, rock and roll hits. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
