Why We’re Seriously Worried About This Recently Reopened Disney World Ride

It’s that time again, where we take a look at all the different rides in Disney World and see just how much they struggled throughout the month.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Is some of this for our own entertainment? Oh, for sure, because it never fails to surprise us which rides are REALLY struggling, either because they’re begging for help and are being ignored, or Disney DID just fix them, and they’re still acting up. In this case of this month, one Disney World ride finally opened its doors after a months-long closure…and it totally didn’t understand the assignment.

Magic Kingdom

Listen, we don’t know WHO we need to tell about it, but The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh closed 39 times in 21 days, and this is the umteenth month in a row where this ride has had major issues. Someone please get it some TLC!

Right behind it was Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, which closed 29 times in 26 days, but this is often due to fireworks, so it’s pretty normal. However, seeing that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin closed 26 times in 21 days? When it JUST reopened? Yeahhhh, that doesn’t inspire confidence. This isn’t a huge surprise since Disney World rides tend to have some growing pains when they first open.

Finally, Space Mountain also closed 26 times in 17 days, but hey, it gives us free chiropractic care, so we’ll let it slide.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway closed 27 times in 17 days, which is the first time in a while we’ve seen it on this list! We’re chalking it up to spring break season and a higher passenger load than normal, but we’ll have to wait and see if the trend continues.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Behind it was Slinky Dog Dash, which closed 26 times in 16 days (likely due to storms in the area, as we are entering the rainy season and this is an outdoor ride), as well as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which closed 25 times in 17 days. Like we say nearly every month — that one isn’t too surprising considering how high tech it is, and since it isn’t crazy high, it gets another pass from us!

EPCOT

Now, we have to admit, this number took us WAY by surprise, and we still can’t get over it. Test Track closed 80 times in 26 days — 80!!! That’s almost three times EVERY DAY. This ride is also still relatively new from its most recent refurbishment that finished in 2025, so we’ll admit, we’re concerned about this one, too.

Test Track

Spaceship Earth closed 40 times in 21 days, which also really isn’t ideal. This attraction is *supposed* to be getting a refurbishment sooner rather than later, but Disney ha sorta fallen off the bandwagon when talking about it, so it seems pretty up in the air. The Seas with Nemo & Friends also closed 37 times in 17 days, which is not fantastic for a ride with such little tech. Maybe someday it’ll get the refurbishment it desperately needs!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Expedition Everest closed 21 times in 12 days, which isn’t totally surprising, considering it’s one of the older rides in the parks and how it’s one of the FIVE rides open in the park right now, but we still would like to see that number go down a little bit.

Expedition Everest

Kali River Rapids also closed 19 times in 15 days, which doesn’t bode well as we head into the hot summer season. Let’s hope this ride can straighten itself out before those wait times really start climbing!
