6 Things Cast Members Wish You’d Stop Doing When You’re Standing in Line in Hollywood Studios

There are many fan-favorite rides in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with new attractions coming soon! These rides are iconic and often have long lines because they are so popular.

But it’s what many people DO in those long lines that Cast Members (probably) wish would stop. If you’ve caught yourself doing these things, know you’re definitely not the only one! ?

Rise of the Resistance

Rise of the Resistance is located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It takes you on a high tempo adventure against the First Order. For Star Wars lovers, it’s a very exciting ride because you get to ride in ships, interact with favorite characters, and be taken prisoner by the First Order (okay, that parts only cool because you eventually escape.)

But here’s the thing, throughout this ride’s queue, you’ll come face to face with storm troopers, and what is the thing that EVERYONE feels the need to say to a storm trooper? Answer: “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.”

I’m sure for Cast Members this was funny once upon a time, but we’re willing to bet they hear this line over and over all day long. They’re probably at their wits end, begging you to stop saying it.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Another ride at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. This ride plays on Han Solo’s past of smuggling. You’ll take the Millennium Falcon for a run working to smuggle coaxium. Each person within your group will be assigned as either a pilot, engineer, or gunner, no experience necessary.

If you’re a Star Wars fan, I bet you can guess what it is Cast Members are probably tired of hearing in this line. How many times do you think they hear the line, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” while everyone is waiting to get on the ride? This famous Han Solo quote is VERY appropriate for this ride, but we do feel sorry for the Cast Members who likely hear it again and again.

Tower of Terror

The Tower of Terror on Sunset Boulevard is one of the busiest rides in Hollywood Studios. It’s a great ride to drop into while you’re visiting the park. You might find yourself a little spooked while holding on for dear life.

A lot of the queue for Tower of Terror is outdoors and involves a stroll through the garden area. However, we bet the Cast Members at this ride really wish people would stay on the designated path! The ledge and gardens themselves are NOT for walking on or in.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Currently, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster features the band Aerosmith (soon to be replaced with the Muppets). While you’re waiting in line, you get to watch a short intro video that gives you the premise of the ride. It’s a great distraction from the extra waiting you’re doing.

But here’s the thing that Cast Members are probably so over. When guests are in the room watching the video, those who have ridden the ride before will often quote the entire thing. Cast Members already have to watch the video all day long, and now they also have to listen to riders quote the whole thing. That’s probably not a lot of fun for them.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a newer ride that is in the Chinese Theater directly straight down from the entrance of the park. This ride took the place of a classic ride that was beloved by many.

The ride that was previously here was The Great Movie Ride. It was a slow moving ride that gave a quick look at several Blockbuster movies such as Alien, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, and others. At one point a real person part of the ride jumps in the vehicle to “escape” a scene. It was an exciting and fun ride!

It was so beloved by many that we would bet money that Cast Members today on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway are tired of hearing about how great it was and how sad people are that it’s gone while waiting in line for the new ride. Yes, The Great Movie ride was a classic, but the new Mickey and Minnie ride is also wonderful. The music, art, and ride style make it a unique, cute,  and entertaining experience.

Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land takes you into Andy’s backyard from the beloved 90s franchise Toy Story. Everything around you is larger than life simulating that you’ve become a toy (so very tiny). This land is a Millennial’s childhood dream.

Woody and Jessie in Toy Story Land

There are three rides here (Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania), two restaurants (Roundup Rodeo BBQ and Woody’s Lunchbox), and lots of fun to be had. While you’re in line for rides at Toy Story Land, Cast Members likely wish you would stop taking yourself too seriously, even when the lines get really, really long. You’re literally in a land full of toys; loosen up and enjoy your experience. Remember what is was like to be a kid again.

Please, enjoy yourself and have a good time while at Hollywood Studios! Don’t take yourself too seriously and enjoy the iconic park full of top-rated cinema attractions. And remember, the Cast Members here have probably heard that joke 147 times today (but feel free to keep saying, it if it makes you happy ?).
