One Disney World Wait Time is OVER 5 Hours Right Now

We’ve seen some long wait times recently, but nothing like this.

Disney World

Summer brings crowds to Disney World. We’re used to that. That’s why we’ve been preparing you (and ourselves) for long wait times. But nothing, and we mean NOTHING, could have prepared us for the wait time on Rise of the Resistance today.

We headed over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to take a ride on Rise of the Resistance today. This attraction is usually home to some long wait times, but we were not prepared for a 5 hour wait!

Yes, you read that right. A FIVE HOUR wait. 305 minutes, to be exact. But don’t let this deter you from taking a ride on this attraction in the future!

Rise of the Resistance

You can still use Individual Attraction Selection (via My Disney Experience App) to access the ride’s Lightning Lane, and bypass the standby line. That would be unbelievably valuable on days like this.

Reminder: Individual Attraction Selection can sell out very quickly, so make sure you set those alarms to book one.

Rise of the Resistance

We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any other outrageous wait times in Disney World today. In the meantime, check out this post for more on Genie+. Or, check out this post for recent wait times around Disney World.

  1. I love the ride but that is ridiculous! Wonder if it would help to have a 3 hour maximum. Then cut the line off for an hour. Unless you have a lightning lane. Then people could go do something else for an hour and line back up. I don’t know cause people would probably just sit and wait until the hour is up and block everyone else etc. Maybe Disney should reconsider putting it back to virtual.
